1985 CATALINA 30' TALL RIG SAILBOAT W BOW SPRIT
She is beautifully maintained Catalina 30 Tall Rig w bow sprit. Boat is truly in sail away
condition. In water in Oyster Bay, New York. The Catalina 30 is one of the most successful production sailing yachts in history. This vessel has the bow sprit option and a 5.3 fin keel. The tall rig w bowsprit, provides more sail area and improved performance. Sail controls lead aft to cockpit and there is wheel steering.
The early Yanmar, Universal 5411 and Atomic 4 engines were phased out in favor of the 3-cylinder Universal M-25 diesels during the middle 80's. "Serendipity" is equipped with the Univeral M-25
hp diesel engine. The engine was hauled and serviced about six years ago.
First built 1976 and last built 2008 with a total of 6,430 built.

The Catalina 30 has a wide and deep hull which provides for exceptional living space below and a
spacious u-shaped cockpit. Forward stateroom w standing headroom includes storage lockers, shelving and a large v-berth for two. The main salon is very roomy w 6.3 headroom, fold up dinette, and a large main hatch which provides natural light and feeling of spaciousness. There is convenient storage behind the settee cushions, under the chart table and lockers above the settee. There is a manual head new in 2013, two hatches, shower and four opening ports.
The galley has a double ss sink, large well insulated ice box, pressurized water and alcohol stove/oven. Accommodations are suited for family cruising or weekend entertaining. The interior is well maintained, and has a great layout and teak is very good condition.
Sails and Rigging: Doyle Dacron main in very good condition,and Doyle 145 Dacron jib in very good condition. Optional North 3dl 155 Genoa. One set of older main and jib Dacron. All new Garhaueur traveler ball bearing blocks and adjustable jib cars. All winches serviced. New bob-stay cable for bow sprit 2013. Reefing, Furlex roller furling and Windex.
The vessel is equipped with a Garmin 545 GPS, all data marine gauges serviced. All custom stern railing with built in stern pulpit seats. Brand new optional stern mounted barbeque used once. The steering system adjusted and lubricated in 2014. Shuffling bilge pump.
Boat is in ready to cruise condition. One of the best maintained Catalina 30's available.
